Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS)
The primary purpose of EOPS is to extend the opportunity for community college education
to all who may benefit regardless of economic, social, and educational status. The
opportunity includes helping students achieve their educational goals and objectives
by obtaining career technical skills and certificates, associate degrees, and transferring
to four-year institutions. Our services include academic counseling, priority registration,
financial assistance (book vouchers and grants as funding permits), and student success

Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education - CARE
CARE is designed for single parent students who participate in the EOPS program and receive CalWORKs/TANF assistance. CARE provides child care grants for study time (as funding permits), success seminars, new and continuing student orientation, access to Food Pantry and holiday events.
CalWORKs
Our program provides supportive services to CalWORKs recipients attending Cuyamaca College. We help students to achieve individual educational
goals as well as learn employable skills with the ultimate goal of increased wage
earning power to become economically self-sufficient.
- CalWORKs of County of San Diego program designed to transition people from welfare to work. It provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families with minor children, to move families with children from dependency to self-sufficiency through employment.
Women, Infants and Children (WIC)
The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) nutrition program helps individuals who are pregnant or just had a baby, and children
up to age 5 eat well, be active, and stay healthy. WIC welcomes partners, grandparents,
foster parents, or guardians who care for eligible children. WIC services are provided

Young Child Tax Credit
The Young Child Tax Credit (YCTC) provides a credit up $1,083 per tax return for Californians who qualify for CalEITC and have a child under 6 years old.
Child Tax Credit
The Child Tax Credit program can reduce the Federal tax you owe by $1,000 for each qualifying child under
the age of 17.
Earned Income Tax Credit
The United States federal Earned Income Tax Credit or earned income credit is a refundable tax credit for low- to moderate-income working
individuals and couples, particularly those with children. The amount of EITC benefit
depends on a recipient's income and number of children.
